The time has finally come and a new update has been rolled out!
The big innovation that you have been asking for is finally here, the MINIMAP!
The functionality for drawing routes will be implemented in the next version. I will also start with the bigger feature you requested, the calculation of the number of employees required. Please understand that this feature means a lot of work and it may take a few more updates before this feature is completed.
The following updates have been made:
- Ability to select the orientation of a walk-in vivarium
- Editing can be canceled
- Editing vivariums
- Animals can be deleted
- Ratings now require text and you can change your rating (saved in the cookie)
- Notifications now appear at the top instead of the bottom
- Layout of the help table for the map functions adjusted
- Minimap added
Bugfix:
- Barriers were not recalculated when editing enclosures
- Positioning of the names of vivariums in the map corrected
Under the hood:

Please excuse the delay in the new update. And unfortunately not everything that I wanted to provide in this update is ready. But since .Net 7 is being shut down on the web server tomorrow, I have to release the update today. And there are already some new features here! I will try to provide the next update as soon as possible, with the remaining functions for editing the enclosures and vivariums (delete/add animals, change enclosure size by dragging on the map) and the minimap. Unfortunately, for personal reasons, it is not always possible for me to continue working on the tool. ;( But I'll keep at it!

Update PZC V3.1

In the new update, the new animals from the new DLC (Barnyard Animal Pack) have been added and the “Configure Vivariums” functionality has been added. In addition, vivariums and enclosures are marked with a corresponding symbol on the map.
This has changed the structure of the save file. However, saved files that have already been created are compatible with the new (and every subsequent) version and will be converted into the new format when loaded for the first time.
The following updates have been carried out:
- Animals from the new DLC (Barnyard Animal Pack) have been added
- Vivariums can now be placed on the map
- Symbols for vivars/enclosures
- Adjustment of the display of the dimensions of the enclosures on the map (diameter for a circle and side length for a triangle)
- Color adjusted for enclosures
- Added menu bar for loading, saving, new enclosure, new vivarium
- When selecting the animals, after selecting the 1st animal, only animals are displayed that match the keeping conditions of the selected animal
Bug fix:
- Bonus animals were not displayed, dropdown was still partially displayed when no more animals could be added

The current update offers completely new functionality.
The following updates have been carried out:
- Renamed the configuration tool to zoo planning tool
- 1st version of the zoo planning tool (map for planning the zoo)
- Optimization of mobile display
Bug fix:
- Information about continents and biomes was sometimes not displayed
- Images of the DLCs in Zoopedia were also displayed for the base game
- When selecting an animal in the zoo planning tool, the new height was not calculated correctly, so the list was no longer visible after selecting some animals
- The display of the required plants in the enclosure was incorrect
- Biome and continent names are displayed correctly again

Due to a bug report, I brought forward the update that was planned for the weekend and made it available today so that you can work with the calculator tool. Many thanks to Veah for the bug report.
Of course, this update doesn't include everything I actually planned for the weekend. Therefore, another update will be released this weekend.

Zoopedia online

The first version of the expanded Zoopedia is finally online.

At the moment this tool is under construction, but at this point some information for you, what you can expact soon. There will be two main functions. First the calculator / configurator and second the extended Zoopedia. Following features will be provided.
The calculator tool will provide you with the possibility to create enclosures for one animal or community enclosures for compatible animals. There you will be able to set several configuration, such as:
- one, all or selected continents
- one, all or selected biomes
- one, all or selected dlcs
- if you wish to keep both genders or only males or females for each selected animal
- which type of population density you wish for each selected animal
- if you wish to select only animals that benefit from each other
- which shape type of the enclosure you would like, including the barrier tile size
Based on this configuration your enclosure will be calculated and you will get following information:
- number of animals for each gender
- desired space requirements for all animals in this enclosure (including water, climbing space and deep water)
- required barrier grade and height, also if it needs to have climbing protection or one way mirror for very shy animal
- required terrain (short / long grass, sand, soil, rocks, snow)
- required planting
- required temperature
In future it is planned that you can configure different enclosures and plan your zoo. You will be able to drag and drop your build enclosures, so that you can plan, where they will be in your zoo. It is also planned that you can add exhibits, stuff and guest buildings and paths, so that you're able to plan your zoo in detail.
It will be possible to save your progress and resume your work later. This save file will be stored at your pc.
Please feel free to contact me and suggest more functions for this tool.
